HTC One X+ discovered in O2 brochure...

The HTC One X was a great phone but evidently it didn't sell well, due to the anticipation of the Samsung Galaxy S3. HTC has been readying a plus version of the device and this device looks to have been spotted in an O2 brochure. The phone is pictured with specs and pricing.

Specs include a 4.7-inch SuperLCD display with 720p resolution (720x1280), powered by Nvidia's Tegra 3 quad-core processor clocked at 1.7GHz (up from 1.5GHz) with 1GB of RAM which will run the latest version of Android being 4.1 "Jelly Bean". Camera's include a 8-megapixel rear-facing camera and a 1.3-megapixel camera for video calls. The One X+ gets a bump up in internal storage now being 64GB whether it is expandable or not has yet to be specified.

The price for the device is £479.99 on PAYG and is said to be "coming soon", how soon we don't know but expect it in the coming months for the holiday season.

ZTE announces Blade 3...

ZTE has announced the third iteration of the company's affordable Blade series, the series has so far offered low-end specs to pursue a low price. However, the Blade 3 offers a bigger screen and larger internal storage than it's predecessor. The device also offers 4 capacitive buttons rather than the 3 physical buttons offered before.

The Blade 3 packs a 4-inch display with WVGA resolution (480x800), powered by a Qualcomm single-core processor clocked at 1GHz with 512MB of RAM which runs Android 4.0 "Ice Cream Sandwich". Camera's include a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera but no front-facing camera. 4GB of internal storage is offered and can be expanded by MicroSD card (up to 32GB).

The handset will make it's way to the UK likely under the name Orange San Francisco 3 but exact dates are unknown but once the device does hit the UK it should be price around £110-£150.

Wikipad available for pre-order at Gamestop, will launch Oct 31st..

Remember the Wikipad tablet? It featured a unique add on in the form of a wrap-around controller that made the tablet almost impossible not to consider if you were an Android gamer. Good news is that the tablet has gone on pre-order at Gamestop for a price of $500 or around £380, with the launch set for October 31st.

The tablet features some impressive specs inc. a 10.1-inch IPS display with WXGA (800x1280) resolution, powered by nVidia's quad-core Tegra 3 processor clocked at 1.4Ghz with 1GB of RAM which runs Android 4.1 "Jelly Bean" out of the box. Device's cameras include a 8-megapixel rear-facing camera and 2-megapixel front-facing camera. Internal storage is at 16GB but can be expanded by MicroSD card (up to 32GB).

Overall, this is a great tablet whether for gaming or not. The add-on controller is a welcome addition to the tablet as many people don't like using on-screen controllers including myself. I hope more availability for his tablet is announced soon because it has loads of market potential.

LG Optimus Vu available globally this September, powered by Tegra 3...

After LG confirmed that the Optimus Vu will be available in the US in Q4, LG has gone further and announced global availability this September. Again, it is great to see the Optimus Vu finally launch outside of Korea, the global version will be powered by Nvidia's Tegra 3 processor instead of the dual-core Snapdragon S3 processor.

Besides that the device still packs the same old 5-inch display with 4:3 ratio 768x1024 resolution, rear 8-megapixel and front 1.3-megapixel camera's and 2080mAh battery.

Acer Iconia Tab A110 available for pre-order from eBuyer, ships with Jelly Bean...

We first saw Acer's Iconia Tab A110 tablet at Computex, since then nothing has been said by Acer. However, now the Iconia Tab A110 has shown up on eBuyer, running Jelly Bean, available for pre-order for a price of £180 for the 8GB model.

The Iconia Tab A110 was the first 7-inch tablet to use the budget Tegra 3, the same processor use in the Neuxs 7, in comparison the Acer's screen is less denser (only 600x1024) and is in fact more expensive than the 8GB model of the Neuxs 7. The only key feature is a seperate HDMI port and a Micro-SD card slot which the Nexus 7 doesn't have and of course the Acer will get updates later than the Nexus 7.

Dimensions wise, the Acer is thicker than the Nexus 7 and more heavier. However, for those people who didn't like the Nexus 7 due to the lack of a MicroSD card slot, you can pick this tablet up for £180 in "46 to 48 days" time.

HTC Endeavour C2...

After a disappointing year for HTC even with a new range of flagship devices, they just couldn't keep up and now they are loosing money big time. However, HTC could be attempting to fix that by bringing new models to the market. You may have heard of the HTC One X+ for T-Mobile, well it may not be for just T-Mobile as a device by the name of "Endeavour C2" has popped up.

The Endeavour C2 has been said to sport the same design as the current One X available but have a faster processor clock speed, bumping up from 1.5GHz to 1.7GHz. This speed difference may mean that the Endeavour C2/ HTC One X+ will be thicker due to a larger battery. I don't think they'll be any difference to screen size or the a addition of a MicroSD card slot which we'd all love.

New Acer Iconia Tab A210 outed on YouTube...

The Acer Iconia Tab A210 was shown at Computex 2012 a month ago, since then there has been no indication of when it will actually be released. However, today a advert for the tablet was released on YouTube by Acer themselves.

The advert itself demonstrates how the tablet is great for all situations and intentions including gaming and enterprising. Some of the tablet's specs include a 10.1-inch 800x1280 display, Nvidia's Tegra 3 quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera.

Huawei releases advert for Huawei MediaPad 10...

Huawei has a iPad beater on their hands. The MediaPad 10 is very very impressive not just specs wise. It is only 8.8mm thick beating the iPad 3 by 0.6mm. The tablet features a aluminium back panel which is very nice, the device weighs 598 grams which is significantly less than the iPad. The tablet also features a Asus like keyboard dock, which makes the device look like a netbook.

On to the specs! We have a full HD (1200x1920) 10.1-inch IPS display, (your already drooling aren't you?) powered by Huawei's own quad-core processor with a 16 core GPU and 2GB of RAM, the device has 8GB of storage which isn't that good, but Huawei offers 120G of cloud storage (probably meant GB) and the device has a MicroSD card slot which can support up 32GB. The device's battery capacity hasn't yet been disclosed but I'd expect it to be over the 10,000 mark.

Now for the advert:

Images of Motorola Atrix 3 and RAZR HD leaked...

TheVerge has received photos of what is to be believed as the successor to the Atrix 2 but for now known by it's codename "Dinara". The Dinara is said to feature a 720p HD display (720x1280 most likely) and run on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). Rumours suggest the phone will boast a 13MP rear-facing camera with a 2MP front-facing camera for video calls. The processor that is believed to be used is Snapdragon's S4 dual-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz. This phone will be primarily for the AT&T network as can be seen by it's AT&T branding.

Meanwhile, DroidLife has acquired photos of the RAZR HD, as expected the RAZR HD will bare the same Kevlar aesthetic seen on the original which consequently means that there'll be no removable battery but rumours suggest that the RAZR HD will pack the same battery that the RAZR MAXX had. (3300mAh). Other than that the display is rumoured to be a  720p HD 4.5-inch affair. Other specs point to the device running Android 4.0 out of the box, the phone will use the same cameras and processor with 1GB of RAM (TI-OMAP 4430).

Acer unveil Iconia A110...

Original location
Acer has unveiled the Iconia A110, an 7-inch android tablet that offers Tegra 3 and Android 4.0 with a sub-$200 price mark. Sound similar? Google has a competitor on it's hands but I suppose they expected it. Plus, theirs the thought that when Google announces their's it might feature Jelly Bean (Android 4.1).

The tablet packs a 7-inch display with a resolution of 600x1024, it is powered by Nvidia's Tegra 3 built on their newly announced Kai architecture with 1GB of RAM. The tablet includes a front-facing presumably VGA resolution camera for video calling, it also comes with 8/16GB of internal storage with the added choice to expand that by means of MicroSD card.

Overall, this is just a device for people that can't wait until the Google I/O conference. Trust me, I'd wait to see what Google/Asus's device offers and then decide which to buy, I mean both devices are planning on marketing for less than $200 so you won't loose loads of money if you do eventually go for the Nexus 7 tablet.

Nexus 7 tablet, Features I want implemented...

I'm sure most if not all of you have heard by now that Google is teaming up with ASUS to bring a Nexus tablet to the market sometime after it's announcement at Google I/O. This tablet has been said to cost beneath the $200 mark rivalling the likes of Amazon's Kindle Fire. No specs have been confirmed except that it'll most likely be a 7-incher in terms of display size. Anyway, here's what I would like to see from the upcoming Nexus 7 tablet.

First of all is high build quality, I mean even if Samsung did apparently copy the iPad in terms of design, you could tell them apart from miles away due to the fact that the build quality of most android tablets is quite shabby compared to the iPad which is absolutely amazing. Don't think I'm saying that ASUS makes products with bad build quality, as I haven't owned or tried a ASUS product to date. However, Some people have said they are pretty good at build quality judging purely on reviews of their Transformer Prime tablet.

Second is POWER! We've recently heard that Nvidia has made a new but cheaper architecture for processors which will still deliver the Tegra 3 type performance seen on the HTC One X. If Google doesn't use this then they're crazy by my count. Anyway, I'd like to see this cheaper version of the Nvidia Tegra 3 processor chip implemented in the Nexus Tablet, I mean it'd give the iPad 3 a run for it's money or should I say value for money?

Lastly, It must have a high quality HD display. I'm talking an IPS display also known as the display which is implemented into the Transformer Prime. Either way, as long as it's 720p (1080p being a bonus) I for one will be buying the device.

So there we have it, three of my most wanted features. All we need now is Google to read this and implement everything I want, Muhahaha. Seriously though, Google is making a great move by making this Nexus tablet because well, the Nexus devices are probably the best and get upgraded to the latest Android quicker than other devices and the fact that it'll be cheaper makes buying it less of a pain.

Nexus tablet to land June!

Digitimes is reporting that the upcoming but still not officially confirmed Nexus tablet being produced by Asus is to be on shelves by June this year. This claim is some what very reliable as the Google I/O developer conference is just around the corner.

The tablet has not had any of it's specs confirmed, however an expectation would be too see a 7-inch display, 8GB, 16GB and 32GB models to be available and the tablet will possibly but most likely feature a Quad-core Nvidia processor based on their new Kai architecture platform which promises to produce $200 Tegra 3 tablets. The tablet will also obviously run Android 4.0, and most likely be upgradable to Android 5.0 when it comes.

Samsung announce Galaxy Proclaim...

Straight Talk is expanding is range of phone, their latest addition is a entry-level Android device by the name of Samsung Galaxy Proclaim. This device will be available for $179.99 but no release date is currently confirmed.

The Galaxy Proclaim comes with mid-range specs including a 3.5-inch HVGA display with a resolution of 320x480, a single-core 1GHz Processor with an unconfirmed 512MB of RAM, 1GB of internal storage (but a 2GB MicroSD card is included). The device runs on Android 2.3 "Gingerbread" with Samsung's TouchWiz on top. Cameras include a 3MP rear-facing but no front-facing, battery capacity is 1,500mAh.

People are calling this the "Mini Nexus" due to it's contour screen which the Nexus S has. There's also the 4 capacitive buttons are the bottom which again, point to the Nexus S. Nevertheless, the phone looks good with a soft back providing extra grip in the hand.
