The United States network, Cricket is now offering the Huawei Ascend Q for a pre-pay price of $140 or on contract $55 (Unlimited mins, texts and data). The phone itself is a entry-level/budget Android handset but may be good for text-aholics as it does come with a QWERTY keyboard.

The Ascend Q packs a 3.2-inch HVGA (320x480) display, powered by a single-core processor clocked at 800MHz with 512MB of RAM. Cameras on device includes a 3.2-megapixel rear-facing camera and no front-facing camera. Motorola announces Defy Pro...

Yesterday, Samsung announced the Galaxy Chat, a BlackBerry style Android phone. Today, Motorola is announcing a BlackBerry style Android phone by the name of Defy Pro. The design of this handset is ridiculously similar to that of the BlackBerry Curve 8900.

The Defy Pro packs a 2.7-inch QVGA (240x320) display, a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera with another front-facing camera for video calling. It has 2GB of internal storage that can be expanded by MicroSD card (up to 32GB). The device has a physical keyboard is built into the device, much in the same way as the Galaxy Chat by Samsung and seems to be running Android 2.3 without any mention of an update to Android 4.0, we can probably presume that it would be running Android 4.0 if it were compatible by now.

Samsung announces Galaxy Chat...

Samsung has today announced a new Android smartphone, the Galaxy Chat. The Galaxy Chat includes a physical QWERTY keyboard that is part of the actual front interface rather than sliding out from underneath the display. This isn't the first time we've seen something like this, last year HTC released the ChaCha onto the market with a similar form factor.

Some of the specs aren't confirmed as of yet but the device packs a confirmed 3-inch QVGA (240x320) display, supposedly powered by a single-core processor with presumably 512MB of RAM. Other confirmed specs include one camera which is 2-megapixels rear-facing without a flash, 4GB of internal storage that can be expanded using MicroSD card up to 32GB and Android 4.0 out of the box.

As mentioned, some of the specs aren't confirmed and are instead assumed by myself, please don't quote me on the specs that aren't confirmed as they maybe wrong. If this phone does come out, the best selling features of it will be Android 4.0 and that physical QWERTY keyboard for those physical keyboard-aholics.
