Sony GX and SX heading for Japan...

Sony has announced two new smartphones -both LTE enabled, for Japan. Out of the two, the Xperia GX stands out the most combining the specs of the Xperia Ion but boasting a whopping 13MP camera. The SX however is the lightweight of the two claiming to be the lightest LTE compatible handset at 95g.

The Xperia GX was formerly known as the LT29i Hayabusa that has been wildly leaked over the past few weeks, It comes with a 4.6-inch HD Reality Display along with the Mobile BRAVIA engine. The display has a resolution of 720x1280 giving a pixel density of 319PPI. A 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor, has a 13MP snapper on the back with Exmor R camera sensor that should enhance low-light performance and a 1.3MP front facing camera for video calls. The phone comes with 16GB of internal storage, a 1700mAh battery and Android 4.0 out of the box.

The Xperia SX comes with a 3.7-inch qHD display with a resolution of 540x960 giving a pixel density of 298PPI, the display is enhanced using Sony's Mobile BRAVIA engine, 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor with 1GB RAM, a 8MP camera on the back with Exmor R camera sensor, a front facing 1.3MP camera for video calls. Theres 8GBs of internal storage, a 1500mAh battery and Android 4.0 out of the box.
